About Amberli Shupe

Amberli Shupe is a National Certified Counselor (NCC) who earned both her Bachelor of Science in Clinical Psychology and Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from East Tennessee State University. A lifelong East Tennessean, Amberli is passionate about serving her community and providing compassionate, affirming care to clients across the lifespan.

Amberli works with children (ages 7+), adolescents, and adults, offering support for concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, neurodivergence, and women’s issues. She also has experience working with LGBTQ+ clients and enjoys creating a safe, collaborative space where clients can explore their identities and work toward meaningful change.

Her approach is rooted in empathy, curiosity, and authenticity, integrating trauma-informed care, play therapy techniques, and evidence-based interventions such as motivational interviewing and existential and feminist perspectives. Amberli believes therapy should be both supportive and empowering—helping clients gain confidence, self-understanding, and practical tools for growth.
